Position Title: Construction Manager (KGISL SEZ, Sarvanampatti)

Reports To: CEO

Location: Coimbatore

Qualification: Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in construction management, including experience with large-scale commercial or residential projects.

Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from initiation to completion.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to define project scope, goals, and objectives.
- Review and approve project designs, blueprints, and specifications to ensure they meet client requirements.
- Procure materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the project.
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
- Manage and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction to minimize delays.
- Prepare detailed budgets and track project costs.
- Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring projects are completed within budget.
- Review and approve invoices and purchase orders.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain cost-effective solutions.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel.
- Ensure the use of quality materials and construction practices, adhering to the project s specifications.
- Conduct quality control inspections at various stages of construction to guarantee work meets required standards.




- Oversee the implementation of environmental sustainability practices, if applicable.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, project stakeholders, and team members.
- Provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders on project progress, timelines, and any issues or concerns.
- Prepare and present detailed progress reports, including schedule updates and any budget adjustments.
- Oversee the preparation and administration of contracts, including subcontractor agreements.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and resolve any disputes that arise.
- Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals, ensuring their development and efficiency.
- Manage the recruitment and performance of subcontractors and vendors.

Certifications

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
- LEED accreditation (if working on sustainable projects) is a plus.

Skills & Abilities

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficient in project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, etc.).
- Familiarity with cost estimating and scheduling software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions

- The role requires time spent on construction sites, which may include long hours, physical activity, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Occasional travel may be required, depending on the project location.
