Role Overview

Artemis Education & Research Foundation is seeking a senior Healthcare & Life Sciences business leader to drive the growth and strategic development of its research, clinical research and innovation portfolio.

The role will combine research strategy, business development, strategic partnerships, clinical research and financial leadership, with a strong focus on building relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, academic and technology organizations.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience from the Pharma/Biotech/CRO industry and the ability to convert research and clinical capabilities into sustainable business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute the research, innovation and business growth strategy aligned with Artemis's long-term objectives.
- Build and grow strategic relationships with Pharma, Biotech, CROs, academia and life sciences organizations.
- Drive growth in industry-sponsored clinical trials, translational research, real-world evidence and collaborative research programs.
- Identify and develop new business, partnership, licensing and commercialization opportunities.
- Build a diversified funding pipeline across industry, government, international agencies and strategic partners.
- Develop and manage the research portfolio, prioritizing opportunities based on clinical impact, strategic value and commercial potential.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth and P&L; for the research and innovation portfolio.
- Partner with clinical, regulatory,



medical and business teams to ensure effective execution of strategic initiatives.
- Position Artemis as a preferred research and clinical development partner for global and Indian life sciences companies.
- Lead, mentor and build a high-performing multidisciplinary research and business team.
- Provide strategic insights and performance updates to the Managing Director and senior leadership.

Ideal Candidate

- MBBS / MD / PhD / PharmD / relevant Life Sciences degree; MBA/Healthcare Management preferred.
- 18+ years of leadership experience in Pharma, Biotech, CRO, Clinical Research, Healthcare or Life Sciences.
- Strong experience in Business Development, Strategic Alliances, Clinical Development, R&D; Strategy or Translational Research.
- Proven track record of building pharma/biotech partnerships and revenue-generating opportunities.
- Strong understanding of drug development, clinical research and regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated P&L;, commercial and strategic management experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and executive communication skills.
- Strong preference for candidates with Pharma/Biotech industry experience and established relationships across the life sciences ecosystem.

Positioning: This is a business strategy and growth leadership role anchored in research, rather than a traditional academic Chief Research Officer position.
