Position Overview

We are seeking a CFD Application Engineer for our office in Pune, India, to handle a set of customer accounts and ensure their technical success with our CONVERGE CFD software. Prior knowledge of IC engines will be an added advantage.

Requirements

- M.S. or Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related field
- Extensive CFD knowledge
- 1+ years of experience simulating complex flows (experience during graduate studies is acceptable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of combustion, turbulence, and spray modeling (desirable)
- Background in chemical kinetics (desirable)
- Internal combustion engine simulation experience (desirable)
- Gas turbine simulation experience (desirable)
- Electric motor simulation experience (desirable)




- Pump and compressor simulation experience (desirable)
- Experience programming in C, C++, Fortran, and MPI (desirable)
- On-site client visits and conference attendance will be required occasionally, so applicants should be willing to travel
- In addition to the technical knowledge required for this position, applicants should be outgoing, creative, and highly motivated

Responsibilities

- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned set of accounts for all technical issues related to their use of CONVERGE
- Identify problems and take responsibility for successful resolution of issues, including reporting of bugs
- Participate in the sales process to facilitate sales and deployment of our software at potential and existing customers
- Conduct training on introductory and advanced topics
- Conduct technical discussions with prospective accounts on the benefits of CFD products
- Perform benchmark simulations to define best practices and verify results
- Present new software features to address customer needs
- Create knowledge base articles for the customer portal
- Work on multiple projects/problems simultaneously
- Collaborate with product management and industry teams to provide input on future product direction
