We are seeking a skilled CATIA Design Engineer with hands-on experience in CATIA V5, Model-Based Definition (MBD), and ENOVIA PLM to support aircraft interior and floor covering component design activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in 3D CAD modeling, 2D engineering drawings, GD&T;, engineering data management, and aerospace design processes. Experience supporting Boeing programs, particularly the 787 aircraft, will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Perform 3D CAD modeling and design of aircraft interior and floor covering components using CATIA V5.
Develop and maintain Model-Based Definition (MBD) data, including:
Product Manufacturing Information (PMI)
Dimensions
Tolerances
Annotations
GD&T;
Create, modify, and update 2D engineering drawings.
Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design requirements.
Support design modifications and engineering changes for aircraft interior and floor covering components.
Manage engineering data and product information using ENOVIA PLM.
Perform product/data releases and maintain accurate engineering information within the PLM setting.
Coordinate with Engineering, QA/Checking, and Project teams to resolve design-related issues.
Ensure engineering deliverables meet applicable aerospace, quality, and customer requirements.
Complete assigned engineering deliverables within project timelines.
Support engineering change and configuration management activities.

Mechanical Engineering

Production Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 3 years of total engineering experience.
Minimum 1 year of Aerospace industry experience.
Hands-on experience with CATIA V5.
Hands-on experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD).
Experience working with ENOVIA PLM.
Good experience in 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation/modification.
Working knowledge of GD&T; and tolerance principles.
Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Willingness to work from Chennai for the duration of the assignment.
