Department Location: Position Title Business Analyst
Level Junior/Middle Management
Reporting To (Title) Position Purpose This position will be responsible for supporting the Head of Department in planning and driving strategic initiatives and monitoring operational performance of the business.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Translate organization wide strategic priorities into comprehensive strategic and execution plans
- Identify key issues and opportunities over medium and long-term horizon
- Provide regular industry and competitor analysis, briefs and updates to Department Head
- Liaise/co-ordinate with businesses and functions to help monitor the implementation of operational and strategic objectives of various projects directly managed by the Department office.
- Provide briefings and reports on the progress of implementation of initiatives and flag issues and areas of concern.
- Help Department Head prepare for key meetings with customers, regulators and the media
- Preparing and circulating templates and formats for preparation of reports for Department Head.
- Evaluating strategic business proposals and putting them up for Department Head’s review and consideration.
Operational Responsibilities
- Prepare confidential documents/presentations for Department Head; draft important letters and mails for his review and approval.
- Process the outcomes of Department Head’s meetings and travels and translate them into actionable points
- Follow through on Department Head’s behalf with all stakeholders on actions
- Receiving, reviewing, summarizing and briefing the Department Head on the preparatory material sent by function and business heads for management review meetings.
Financial Responsibilities
- Translate organization wide strategic priorities in comprehensive strategic and execution plan
- Identify key issues and opportunities over medium and long-term horizon
People Responsibilities
- Work closely with Business Heads driving business objectives
Education Qualification MBA from Tier 1 Institute Work Experience 3-5 Years of experience assisting executive in a fast-paced setting
Industry to be Hired from Chemical, API, Pharma Industry Experience Preferred Functional Competencies
