Role Overview

This role provides L2/L3 AMS support for SAP HR integrations with a strong focus on Business Integration Builder (BIB), HR Mini Master IDocs, and ABAP enhancements. You will monitor and maintain BIB configurations and related BADIs, troubleshoot replication issues, and ensure accurate HR master and organizational data exchange across S/4HANA and ECC. The position requires deep hands-on expertise in IDoc processing, partner profiles, ALE distribution, and custom BADIs for cross-landscape transfers.

You will also debug and optimize ABAP code and apply ABAP on Cloud concepts (RAP/Steampunk) for extensions while following ITIL-based incident, problem, and change processes.

Required Qualifications

- Robust hands-on experience supporting SAP HR BIB scenarios for HR master and OM data replication
- Expertise with BADIs related to BIB, including custom implementations for mapping/transformations
- Deep knowledge of IDoc processing for HR Mini Master (PA and OM segments), error handling, and reprocessing
- Experience configuring and maintaining IDoc/ALE (partner profiles WE20, ports WE21, distribution models BD64, monitoring WE02/WE05, reprocessing BD87)
- Proven experience with custom BADIs to manage IDoc transfers between S/4HANA and ECC
- Advanced ABAP debugging, performance tuning, enhancements, reports, and interfaces in HR context
- Working knowledge of ABAP on Cloud concepts (RAP, Steampunk)

- Experience with SAP CPI or PI/PO for HR integration (preferred)
- Familiarity with ITIL-based AMS processes (incident/problem/change) and working to SLAs
- Ability to collaborate with HR functional, Basis, and cross-application teams for RCA, testing, and resolution

Responsibilities

- Provide L2/L3 AMS support for SAP HR BIB-based data replication and related BADIs
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance BIB configurations; diagnose and fix BADI-related issues in data replication
- Support production incidents for HR Mini Master IDocs, including PA and OM segment errors, within SLAs
- Maintain and troubleshoot ALE/IDoc setup (partner profiles, ports, distribution models) for HR data exchange
- Develop, debug, and optimize ABAP programs, enhancements, and reports supporting HR technical processes
- Design, maintain, and support custom BADIs controlling IDoc transfers between S/4HANA and ECC landscapes
- Apply ABAP on Cloud (RAP/Steampunk) to support integration and extension objects where applicable
- Perform root cause analysis, regression testing, and coordinate fixes with HR functional, Basis, and cross-app teams
- Adhere to ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change; provide clear updates and documentation
- Act as a technical SME for HR integration topics and guide the broader support team on best practices
