High Point Advisory Group
India
Company Description High Point Advisory Group helps entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners maximize value and minimize risk across the business lifecycle—from acquisition through operation to exit. The firm focuses on small to mid-sized business transactions, including Main Street, SMB, and lower middle market deals. Core services include buy-side diligence, QoE reporting, post-close integration planning, financial leadership, operational improvement, and exit readiness support.
Every engagement is led by senior professionals who emphasize speed, clarity, and practical results, offering institutional-quality thinking tailored to the unique needs of smaller transactions.
High Point Advisory
Group positions itself as a strategic partner for clients seeking clear, actionable insights to support confident decision-making when buying, scaling, or selling a business.
Role Description
You will own the financial analysis behind live transactions. In practice that means building the numbers, forming a view on what they mean, and writing that view up in a way a client or a counterparty can act on.
Quality of earnings and diligence
- Build normalized EBITDA bridges and supporting adjustment schedules
- Prepare net working capital and net debt analyses, including debt-like and cash-like item assessments
- Construct diligence databooks from trial balances, general ledgers, and management reporting
- Identify earnings quality issues and draft the information requests and management questions that follow from them
Financial modeling
- Build and maintain three-statement operating models, including monthly models with hiring plans, debt schedules, capex build, and scenario logic
- Run sensitivity and returns analysis to support client and investor conversations
Transaction materials
- Draft teasers, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations
- Build the supporting exhibits, and make sure every figure ties back to a source
Process support
- Screen buyers and investors, maintain outreach pipelines, and track process status
- Prepare and maintain data rooms
Qualifications
Required
- 1 to 3 years of experience in financial due diligence, transaction advisory, investment banking, private equity, or equity research. Big 4 TAS and deal advisory backgrounds fit naturally, as do boutique M&A; roles and audit-to-diligence moves.
- Chartered Accountant, MBA in Finance, or an equivalent qualification
- Robust Excel - You build models from a blank sheet rather than filling in templates, and you can explain the logic behind every number in your own file.
- Fluent English communication, written and verbal. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear,
concise reports and presentations for clients. You will be drafting client-facing materials and speaking directly with the Managing Partner and, over time, clients.
- Strong analytical and financial skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and interpretation of financial statements.
- Comfort with incomplete information, and the judgment to flag what is missing rather than quietly assume it
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with senior professionals and cross-functional teams.
Preferred
- Prior exposure to US GAAP or US private company financials
- PowerPoint fluency for client-ready materials
- Experience working with founder-led or owner-managed businesses
What Success Looks Like In This Role
- You spot the adjustment nobody asked you to look for
- Your files are clean enough that someone else can pick them up and follow the logic
- When something looks wrong, you say so early rather than at the end
- You can hold two or three live mandates at once without dropping the thread on any of them
Working Arrangement and Compensation
- Location: Fully remote, from anywhere in India
- Hours: Six hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time is required. Outside that window, your schedule is yours.
- Compensation: $25,000 to $30,000 per year, paid in USD, positioned within the band based on experience
