Job Title: Control Room Operator Ferro Alloys

We are looking for an experienced Control Room Operator to monitor and control plant operations in a ferroalloy manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, stable, and efficient operation of the Electric Submerged Arc Furnace (SAF) and associated process systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor plant parameters, process conditions, alarms, and operational data through the control room system.
- Operate and monitor Electric Submerged Arc Furnace (SAF) and ferrochrome production processes.
- Adjust process parameters to maintain stable and effective furnace operation.
- Respond promptly to alarms, warnings, and abnormal operating conditions.
- Identify operational issues and coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering teams for troubleshooting.
- Record operational incidents, actions taken, process changes, and outcomes.
- Monitor equipment and process performance and report abnormalities to the Shift In-charge/Supervisor.
- Coordinate with field operators and other departments during start-up, shutdown, and abnormal conditions.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures, SOPs, environmental requirements, and operational standards.
- Participate in safety drills, toolbox meetings,



training programs, and emergency response activities.
- Maintain proper shift-wise operational records and reports.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

- Good knowledge of ferroalloy/ferrochrome production processes.
- Practical knowledge of Electric Submerged Arc Furnace (SAF) operation.
- Ability to monitor and control process parameters through DCS/PLC/SCADA/control systems.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyze process abnormalities and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices, high-temperature operations, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively in rotational shifts.

Qualification:

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Metallurgy, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience in ferroalloys, ferrochrome, steel, furnace, or metallurgical plant operations will be preferred.

Experience:

- 2–8 years of relevant experience in Control Room/Process Operations,

Preferred candidate profile

- preferably in ferroalloys or ferrochrome manufacturing.
