Position: Asst Manager – Last Mile Operations

Function: Last Mile Operations - Courier & Hyperlocal

Location: Sothupakkam, Chennai

Objective: To manage day-to-day Last Mile operations and ensure timely delivery of customer orders through courier partners and own delivery operations, while controlling delivery SLA, RTO, Returns, Escalations and Logistics Costs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Manage daily shipment movement from dispatch to final delivery, including Delivered, In-Transit, OFD, NDR, RTO and Return/RVP shipments.
- Coordinate with courier partners for pickup, delivery, NDR, delayed shipments, RTO, damages, lost/missing shipments and other exceptions.
- Monitor delivery TAT/SLA and proactively follow up on ageing and stuck shipments.
- Manage regular operational coordination and escalations with courier partners such as Delhivery, Ekart and other logistics and transport partners.
- Track RTO/RVP performance, identify reasons and drive actions to reduce avoidable returns.
- Handle courier-related customer escalations in coordination with the Customer Support team.
- Validate transit damage, loss, mismatch and courier-liability cases and ensure claims are raised and followed through within timelines.
- Coordinate courier COD settlements, billing/reconciliation, claims, recoveries and disputes with the Finance team.
- Monitor courier partner performance including delivery %, RTO %,



SLA adherence, NDR performance and ageing.
- Support courier allocation based on serviceability, performance, TAT and cost.
- Maintain daily/weekly Last Mile MIS and highlight operational risks and exceptions to management.
- Coordinate closely with Warehouse Fulfilment team to ensure smooth courier handover, AWB/shipment processing and dispatch closure.
- Maintain courier partner POCs and escalation matrices and ensure timely closure of operational issues.

Candidate Profile

- Min. 4-6 years in Last Mile / E-commerce Logistics / Courier Operations.
- Experience in managing multiple courier partners and high-volume B2C shipments.
- Strong understanding of shipment lifecycle, NDR, RTO, RVP, COD and courier claims.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and operational MIS/reporting.
- Solid follow-up, analytical, coordination and escalation-management skills.
- Chennai/Tamil Nadu/South India logistics exposure would be an advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
