About the Role

Bajaj Finserv is looking for a hands-on AI/ML Engineer to join its Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) charter — a fast-emerging discipline focused on how content, products, and brands are discovered, ranked, and surfaced through AI-driven search and conversational interfaces (LLM-powered assistants, answer engines, and generative search experiences). You will work at the intersection of ML engineering, semantic search, and content strategy to help Bajaj Finserv's digital presence perform strongly across AI-first discovery surfaces.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and refine rank-modelling approaches tailored to GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) use cases.
- Design and optimize for AI-driven search interfaces, conversational queries, and generative search experiences (GEO / AEO / SGE).
- Work hands-on with prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines.
- Apply a deep understanding of how modern search engines and AI systems rank and generate responses, including semantic search and entity-based optimization.
- Evaluate and work within LLM ecosystems such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and similar platforms to understand response generation and ranking behavior.
- Structure content for AI consumption — schema markup, context building,



and knowledge representation — to improve visibility in generative answers.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (content, product, and engineering) to embed GEO best practices into Bajaj Finserv's digital ecosystem.

Mandatory Requirements

- Solid AI/ML Engineer background with direct, demonstrable experience in GEO work.
- 1+ years of experience in rank modelling specifically for GEO.
- 1+ years of experience in GEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), or SGE (Search Generative Experience), including optimization for AI-driven search interfaces and conversational queries.
- Hands-on exposure to prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, or RAG-based systems.
- Deep understanding of how modern search engines and AI-driven systems rank and generate responses (semantic search, entity-based optimization).
- Exposure to AI/LLM ecosystems such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of content structuring for AI consumption (schema, context building, knowledge representation).

Education & Company Background

- B.Tech or Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech, or Integrated M.Sc/MS) from Tier-1 Engineering Institutes only — IITs, NITs, VIT, BITS, DTU, NSUT.
- Prior experience limited to top-tier, high-scale product companies. Candidates from Tier-2 companies will not be considered.
- Candidate's resume must clearly reflect their AI Engineering work output specifically related to GEO.

Compensation & Process Details

- Total CTC: ₹12–20 LPA (Confidential band) — 80% Fixed, 20% Variable.
- Maximum notice period accepted: 30 days.
- Candidate location: Open to candidates from any location, willing to relocate to Pune.
