As we continue to grow and take on new challenges, we are seeking a talented Aircraft Performance Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide performance estimation for current and future programs.
- Accountable for performance discipline for all programs under development.
- Development of software tools required for performance analyses: Theoretical Performance; Flight Test Reduction; Flight Test Expansion; Flight and Operation Manuals; Route Analyses; and other relevant analyses.
- Conduct flight test campaign in order to validate performance estimations and to show compliance with certification.
- Elaborate certification plan and associated flight test campaign.
- Provide data for sales and marketing support.
- Develop and keep updated the performance database model, including flight testing matching.
- Interact with all other key disciplines required in order to provide the performance data.
- Taking ownership of tasks while adhering to deadlines and budgets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree : A bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is required. A master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in airplane performance discipline within the aerospace industry (preference for 10+ years).
- Airplane Performance: Working knowledge in fixed-wing airplane is required, and VTOL systems knowledge is desired.
- Propulsion Systems: Working knowledge in different propulsion system is desired: Current ADASI programs requires knowledge in Piston Engine, Turboprop, Turbo-fan and Electric motor.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages like Python and Matlab.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards such as Part 23, Part 25, AEP 4671 is a plus.
- Aircraft Design Phases : Familiarity with Aircraft Design Phases (conceptual, preliminary, and detail)
- Aircraft Sizing : Experience with aircraft sizing, configuration trade studies and multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO) is a plus
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex aerodynamic issues.
- Team Player: Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a quick-paced aerospace environment.
