Department: Hospital Operations
Reporting To: Management / Regional Head
Location: Gachibowli , Hyderabad
Experience: 8–15 years in hospital administration/operations, preferably with experience managing a 50+ bed hospital
Job Purpose
The Centre Head will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the hospital, ensuring high-quality patient care, productive operations, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction. The role will lead clinical and non-clinical teams and drive the hospital towards its operational, quality, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities1. Hospital Operations
- Manage day-to-day operations of the 50-bed multi-specialty hospital.
- Ensure smooth functioning of OPD, IPD, Emergency, OT, ICU, diagnostics, pharmacy, and support services.
- Optimize bed occupancy, patient flow, turnaround times, and resource utilization.
- Establish and monitor operational SOPs and service standards.
2. Business & Financial Performance
- Own hospital revenue, profitability, occupancy, and cost-management targets.
- Develop and execute strategies for increasing patient volumes and revenue.
- Monitor departmental budgets, expenses, collections, and receivables.
- Identify opportunities for new specialties, services, corporate tie-ups, and referral networks.
3. Clinical & Patient-Care Excellence
- Work closely with the Medical Director and consultants to maintain high standards of clinical care.
- Monitor patient safety, clinical outcomes, complaints, and patient experience.
- Ensure adequate availability of doctors, nurses,
technicians, and other clinical resources.
- Promote a strong patient-centric culture across the hospital.
4. Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare laws, statutory requirements, and accreditation standards such as NABH, where applicable.
- Lead quality improvement, infection control, patient safety, and risk-management initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation, audits, incident reporting, and corrective actions.
- Maintain readiness for regulatory and accreditation inspections.
5. People & Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop clinical, administrative, and support teams.
- Work with HR on recruitment, manpower planning, performance management, training, and retention.
- Set clear KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, discipline, and service excellence.
6. Stakeholder Management
- Develop strong relationships with consultants, employees, patients, vendors, insurance/TPA partners, corporate clients, and other stakeholders.
- Manage key patient and stakeholder escalations effectively.
- Represent the hospital in local professional and business networks.
- Build relationships with referring doctors and institutions to strengthen the hospital's referral base.

Candidate Profile
- Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. MBBS mandatory.
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in hospital operations/administration.
- Experience independently managing a multi-specialty hospital or healthcare centre is preferred.
- Strong understanding of hospital P&L;, operations, quality, and patient-care processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commercial orientation combined with a patient-centric approach.
- Experience with NABH/accreditation processes will be an advantage.
