Job Overview

We are looking for a creative, detail-focused, and visually sharp Packaging Copywriter & Text Specialist to take ownership of packaging copy accuracy, presentation, proofreading, and print-readiness across skincare and haircare products.

This position works closely with Design, Product Development, Regulatory, NPI, and other cross-functional teams to ensure packaging artwork progresses accurately through development, approval, revision, and final print release.

Key Responsibilities

- Write, edit, and professionally polish copy for skincare, haircare, and beauty-product packaging.
- Review and proofread text across bottles, jars, tubes, cartons, labels, inserts, boxes, and other packaging materials.
- Conduct detailed line-by-line proofreading of final artwork before printing.
- Check spelling, grammar, punctuation, terminology, measurements, ingredients, directions, warnings, claims, product names, quantities, and other required text.
- Review artwork for text alignment, spacing, hierarchy, font consistency, readability, legibility, and overall visual presentation.
- Check that required text meets applicable minimum font-size and legibility requirements.
- Identify missing, incorrect, duplicated, outdated, or inconsistent information before artwork is released.
- Work closely with Design to correct copy placement, alignment, spacing, font, hierarchy, and layout issues.
- Work with Regulatory and Product Development teams to ensure packaging copy is consistent with approved regulatory requirements, product information, and claims.
- Maintain accurate and controlled packaging copy versions for each SKU,



including revisions and approved final copy.
- Ensure superseded or incorrect copy is not carried forward into production artwork.
- Review artwork revisions and confirm that approved text has not been unintentionally changed during design updates.
- Maintain clear records of approved copy, revisions, comments, and final sign-off.
- Provide the final copy sign-off before artwork proceeds to print, confirming that the copy has been reviewed and is ready for production.
- Support multiple packaging projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Identify potential packaging-text issues early and communicate them clearly to the responsible teams.
- Support continuous improvement of packaging copy standards, proofreading processes, and artwork review procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and professional copywriting.
- Masters Degree in English is Preferred
- Exceptional proofreading and editing skills with strong attention to very small details.
- Strong visual awareness and ability to identify errors in spacing, alignment, hierarchy, font size, formatting, and layout.




- Genuine interest in beauty, skincare, haircare, cosmetics, packaging, branding, and consumer products.
- Comfortable reviewing and working with Adobe artwork, packaging layouts, labels, and print-ready files.
- Ability to understand packaging artwork and identify text-related issues within visual designs.
- Strong organizational and version-control skills, particularly when managing multiple SKUs and artwork revisions.
- Able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with Design, Regulatory, Product Development, NPI, and other teams.
- Comfortable questioning unclear, incomplete, inconsistent, or incorrect information rather than allowing errors to pass through.
- Robust sense of ownership and responsibility for the accuracy of packaging copy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work according to production and print deadlines.
- High level of professional discipline and attention to detail.

Pay: ₹220,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
