We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Backend Software Engineer with at least 1 year of professional experience in backend application development using Python and Django. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs. You will work closely with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving technical challenges, writing clean and maintainable code, and learning modern backend technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs using Python and Django (Django REST Framework).
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Integrate backend services with databases, third-party APIs, and frontend applications.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
- Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.
- Create unit tests and support integration testing.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain technical documentation.
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies and best practices.

Required Skills:

- Python (mandatory)
- Django (preferred framework); FastAPI (acceptable alternative)
- JavaScript or TypeScript (preferred, not mandatory)
- Databases: MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, SQL Server
- REST APIs, JSON, API Authentication (JWT/OAuth2)




- Swagger/OpenAPI documentation
- Version Control: Git (GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps)
- Basic Docker knowledge

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Robust understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Understanding of software design principles and design patterns.
- Experience with SQL queries and database design.
- Basic understanding of microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of API security best practices.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks.
- Understanding of Git workflows.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Basic DevOps knowledge.
- Experience with cloud deployments.
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools.
- Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
