Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Purpose

To carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, utilities, and plant infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, control panels, MCCs, PCCs, DBs, VFDs, starters, contactors, relays, and control circuits.
- Attend electrical breakdowns and restore equipment safely with minimum downtime.
- Perform routine inspection of electrical panels, cables, motors, transformers, and distribution systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot 3-phase and single-phase electrical systems.
- Check motor current, voltage, insulation resistance, earthing, and other basic electrical parameters.
- Carry out replacement of faulty components such as MCBs, MCCBs, contactors, overload relays, fuses, switches, sensors, and cables.
- Assist in VFD/soft starter troubleshooting and basic parameter checking.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as per the approved maintenance schedule and maintain proper records.
- Support maintenance of plant utilities such as air compressors, pumps, DG sets, and other electrically operated equipment.
- Identify recurring electrical problems and report them to the Maintenance Engineer.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical safety across the plant.
- Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures before carrying out maintenance activities.
- Use electrical tools and testing instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter, megger, and insulation tester safely.
- Assist contractors and external service technicians during electrical maintenance activities.




- Maintain adequate stock of electrical spares and inform the supervisor about critical spare requirements.
- Maintain maintenance checklists, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance records.
- Follow plant EHS, PPE, safety, quality, and statutory requirements.

Technical Skills Required

- Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems and maintenance.
- Knowledge of AC/DC motors and motor control circuits.
- Working knowledge of MCC/PCC panels and electrical distribution systems.
- Basic knowledge of VFDs, soft starters, PLC panels, sensors, and control circuits.
- Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams and control drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical testing instruments.
- Basic knowledge of DG sets, pumps, compressors, and other plant utilities.
- Knowledge of electrical safety, isolation, and LOTO procedures.
- Ability to identify electrical faults and carry out root-cause troubleshooting.

Educational Qualification

- ITI – Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Relevant electrical maintenance certification will be an advantage.

Experience

2–5 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial plant.

Shift Requirement

- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, as per plant requirements.
- Should be available to attend emergency breakdowns when required.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
