Python Framework Engineer – ASAM XIL

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Python Framework Engineer with hands-on experience in test automation, software-in-the-loop (SIL), hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), or related validation environments.

The role involves developing and maintaining Python-based framework components, integrating test platforms with ASAM XIL APIs, processing test execution data, and supporting automated validation and regression activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Python-based framework components for test execution and validation.
- Build and extend adapters and integrations using ASAM XIL APIs.
- Support integration with SIL/HIL test environments and associated tools.
- Develop workflows for test tool and configuration conversion.
- Parse and process test results, execution logs, measurements, metrics, and generated artifacts.
- Transform test execution data into structured formats for downstream systems.
- Develop reusable framework utilities and components for automated testing.
- Package and maintain framework components for CI/CD environments.
- Support validation, regression, and continuous testing activities.
- Troubleshoot integration, execution, and framework-related issues.
- Collaborate with test, validation, software, and automation teams to improve framework reliability and maintainability.
- Contribute to technical documentation and coding standards.

Required Skills

- 7–10 years of professional software engineering or test framework development experience.
- Strong programming experience with Python 3.x.
- Hands-on experience developing automation frameworks, test infrastructure, or developer tooling.




- Practical knowledge of ASAM XIL and its application in automotive test environments.
- Experience working with SIL/HIL testing or similar simulation and validation environments.
- Experience developing API adapters, integrations, or framework interfaces.
- Good understanding of test execution workflows and automated testing practices.
- Experience parsing and processing logs, test results, metrics, and other execution artifacts.
- Familiarity with Python packaging and dependency management.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated regression testing.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of software development practices, version control, and code quality.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with automotive software validation or testing.
- Familiarity with ASAM standards and automotive test tool ecosystems.
- Experience integrating multiple testing or simulation tools through APIs.
- Knowledge of structured data formats such as JSON, XML, or similar.
- Experience with Git and commonly used CI/CD platforms.
- Familiarity with containerized or automated test execution environments.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
