PHP WordPress Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled PHP WordPress Developer to create, customize, and maintain high-quality WordPress websites, themes, and plugins. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PHP, WordPress architecture, and front-end technologies. You will work on diverse projects ranging from corporate websites to e-commerce stores, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and customize WordPress themes from scratch using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Create and modify WordPress plugins to extend website functionality.
- Build WooCommerce stores with custom product configurations and payment integrations.
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
- Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress issues, conflicts, and bugs.
- Implement website security measures to prevent hacks and vulnerabilities.
- Migrate websites from other platforms to WordPress.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, updates, and technical support.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver client requirements.

Required Skills

- Expertise in WordPress core, hooks, actions, filters, and custom post types.
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with WooCommerce, including custom product types and payment gateways.
- Knowledge of page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg).
- Familiarity with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and Custom Taxonomy.
- Understanding of website security best practices and malware prevention.




- Experience with Git version control and staging environments.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and website optimization techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in WordPress development.
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Knowledge of server management (cPanel, Linux, Apache/Nginx).
- Familiarity with WP-CLI, Composer, and contemporary development workflows.
- Portfolio of custom WordPress themes and plugins developed.
