Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Engineer to manage final assembly, testing, quality control, and packaging operations for domestic and commercial water purification systems.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly, production testing, quality control, troubleshooting, and shop-floor management. The role requires ensuring every finished unit is properly assembled, leak-free, electrically functional, quality-checked, and ready for dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly Line Management

Supervise day-to-day mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly operations.

Manage assembly of brackets, plumbing/piping, pumps, cartridges, wiring harnesses, and related components.

Plan and optimize assembly sequences and line balancing to improve productivity.

Ensure SOPs are followed throughout the assembly process.

Identify and prevent common assembly issues such as tube kinking, loose wire connections, incorrect fittings, and improper seals.

Coordinate with production, electronics, fabrication, and procurement teams to maintain smooth operations.

Testing & Quality Control

Manage wet-testing and final testing operations.

Conduct high-pressure leak testing of fittings, pipelines, quick-connects, and storage tanks.

Verify water flow, pressure, and overall plumbing performance.





Coordinate with the electronics team for functional testing of digital RO systems.

Verify TDS sensor operation, auto-flush cycles, flow-rate cut-offs, displays, and other electronic functions.

Establish quality checkpoints at critical stages of production.

Conduct final Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) before products are cleared for dispatch.

Maintain defect records and identify recurring quality issues.

Packaging & Dispatch Readiness

Supervise the final packing process to ensure products are properly protected during transportation.

Ensure appropriate anti-scratch protection, foam/thermocol cushioning, and secure packaging.

Verify that installation kits, pre-filter components, user manuals, warranty cards, and other accessories are included.

Coordinate with logistics and dispatch teams to meet daily shipment schedules.

Continuous Improvement

Track production and quality KPIs.

Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production and testing failures.

Reduce rework, rejection, assembly cycle time, and material wastage.

Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Train and guide technicians, operators, and packing staff.

Required Qualifications

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Production,



Industrial Engineering, or related fields.

3–5 years of relevant experience in assembly, testing, production, or quality control.

Experience in consumer electronics, home appliances, white goods, water purification, or similar manufacturing environments is preferred.

Good understanding of water pressure, flow rates, plumbing connections, pumps, and solenoid valves.

Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, electrical safety, and electro-mechanical systems.

Technical Skills

Pressure gauges and pressure testing equipment.

Multimeters and basic electrical testing tools.

TDS and pH meters.

Flow and pressure measurement.

Assembly line testing and inspection procedures.

Production KPI monitoring and defect tracking.

Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

SOP implementation and process improvement.

Basic understanding of quality control systems.
