Overview
We are urgently seeking a highly skilled French–English Live Interpreter to facilitate a critical pharmaceutical business meeting conducted via Google Meet. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your multilingual expertise, interpretation skills, and cultural competency to ensure seamless communication between French-speaking and English-speaking professionals. As a vital link in the dialogue, you will help bridge language barriers, uphold professional ethics, and support accurate information exchange in a fast-paced, high-stakes setting. Duties

- Provide real-time simultaneous interpretation during the virtual business meeting, ensuring both French and English speakers understand each other clearly and accurately.
- Conduct consecutive interpretation when required, accurately conveying messages after pauses or between speakers.
- Facilitate effective over-the-phone interpretation if needed for supplementary communication channels related to the meeting.
- Maintain skilled ethics by ensuring confidentiality and impartiality throughout the session.
- Demonstrate cultural competency to navigate nuanced language differences and contextual meanings within the pharmaceutical industry.




- Use your linguistics expertise to interpret technical terminology, scientific data, and industry-specific jargon seamlessly.
- Support the meeting’s flow by managing timing, clarifying ambiguous statements, and ensuring all participants are engaged effectively.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in interpretation, especially within medical, pharmaceutical, or scientific contexts.
- Fluency in both French and English, with strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation in both languages.
- Demonstrated ability in simultaneous interpretation, with quick reflexes and excellent concentration skills.
- Proficiency in consecutive interpretation techniques for complex discussions requiring detailed translation.
- Familiarity with American Sign Language is a plus but not required; strong communication skills are essential.
- Deep understanding of professional ethics, confidentiality standards, and cultural nuances relevant to international pharmaceutical communications.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and diplomatically across languages.
- Knowledge of translation tools or software that may assist during the interpretation process is advantageous.
