Bhagirath Kia is looking for a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our Service Workshop team. The technician will be responsible for vehicle inspection, diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repair of Kia passenger vehicles while following Kia technical standards, workshop procedures and safety guidelines.
The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of automobile mechanical and electrical systems, hands-on experience with vehicle repairs, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform periodic maintenance, general servicing and repair of Kia vehicles as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
- Diagnose vehicle problems using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Carry out repair and replacement of components such as brakes, suspension, steering, engine components, batteries, sensors and other vehicle systems.
- Perform engine oil, filter, coolant and other scheduled maintenance services.
- Check and repair basic electrical systems, wiring, lights, sensors, fuses and related components.
- Carry out inspection and maintenance of tyres, wheels, brakes and suspension systems.
- Follow job cards and instructions provided by the Service Advisor / Workshop Supervisor.
- Ensure all repair and maintenance work is completed accurately and within the promised time.
- Conduct road tests where required to verify vehicle performance and repair quality.
- Ensure proper use of tools, diagnostic equipment and workshop machinery.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned work bay, tools and equipment.
- Follow Kia workshop processes, technical instructions, safety standards and dealership SOPs.
- Report additional technical issues or repair requirements to the Workshop Supervisor / Service Advisor.
- Ensure proper documentation of work performed,
parts replaced and technical findings.
- Minimize repeat repairs by following First Time Right practices.
- Cooperate with Service Advisors, Parts Department and Workshop Supervisors for smooth vehicle delivery.
- Attend technical training and continuously upgrade knowledge of new Kia technologies and vehicle systems.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of automobile mechanical systems.
- Basic knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Ability to use vehicle diagnostic equipment.
- Positive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of basic workshop tools and equipment.
- Ability to understand job cards and technical instructions.
- Good teamwork and time-management skills.

Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical or related trade preferred.
- Candidates with relevant automobile workshop experience will be preferred.
- Freshers with relevant ITI/Diploma qualification may also be considered.
Experience
0–5 years of experience in automobile service/workshop operations.
Candidates with experience in an authorised car dealership or OEM workshop will be preferred.
