Job Summary

Role Summary
Responsible for end‑to‑end database operations with DB2 as primary focus, ensuring availability, performance, security, and stability. Provides L2/L3 support for PostgreSQL and MySQL in production environments.

Key Responsibilities
DB2 (Primary)

DB2 LUW administration (Prod/Non‑Prod)
Incident, problem, and change management (L2/L3)
Installation, patching, fix pack & version upgrades
Backup, restore, and recovery
HA/DR support (HADR)
Performance tuning (SQL, indexing, reorg, runstats)
Monitoring, troubleshooting, RCA
User access, security, and audit support

PostgreSQL / MySQL (Secondary)

L2/L3 operational support
Installation, patching, minor upgrades
Backup & recovery
Replication support
Performance troubleshooting

Operational Responsibilities

24x7 support and on‑call rotation
Coordination with application and infra teams
Documentation (SOPs, runbooks, RCA)
Mentoring junior DBAs

Required Skills

5–8 years DBA experience
Strong DB2 LUW expertise
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL
Backup, HA/DR, and performance tuning experience
Production support exposure

Key Responsibilities
1.



To champion ITIL, security, and data privacy to offer high-quality, well-documented solutions, minimizing risks and maximizing customer satisfaction.
2. To provide support for complex incidents, escalated by analysts, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to resolve technical & security issues.
3. To work on value adding activities such as maintainenace of a comprehensive Knowledge base , act as a mentor to junior analysts,and deliver training programs for freshers, equipping them with essential skills to become productive .
4. To contribute to a positive customer experience and high CSAT scores by providing rapid, accurate, and secure resolutions, fostering customer trust and satisfaction.
5. To proactively identify and address potential security vulnerabilities to protect customer data and prevent security incidents.
