About the Role

Mind & Brain Hospital is looking for a compassionate and responsible Psychiatric Nurse / Staff Nurse to join our nursing team. The candidate will be responsible for providing safe, patient-centred nursing care to psychiatric inpatients and supporting the multidisciplinary clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide nursing care to psychiatric inpatients as per hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' physical and mental health condition.
- Conduct regular patient observations and maintain accurate records.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Monitor patients at risk of self-harm, suicide, aggression, falls or absconding.
- Identify and promptly report changes in patients' behaviour or clinical condition.
- Assist in managing psychiatric and medical emergencies.
- Use appropriate communication and de-escalation techniques when managing behavioural disturbances.
- Maintain nursing notes, medication charts, observation records and other clinical documentation.
- Provide proper shift handover to the incoming nursing team.
- Maintain patient safety, dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate with psychiatrists, psychologists, medical officers and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection-control, medication-safety and hospital SOPs.
- Participate in patient-care activities and therapeutic/rehabilitation programs as required.
- Maintain discipline,



qualified conduct and appropriate boundaries with patients.

Eligibility

- GNM or B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the applicable State Nursing Council.
- Freshers can apply.
- Previous experience in psychiatric/mental-health nursing or inpatient hospital settings will be an advantage.
- Candidates should be willing to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
