Job Description – Lab Instructor (Electrical Engineering)

Position: Lab Instructor – Electrical Engineering
Department: Electrical Engineering
Location: PCTE Group of Institutes, Ludhiana
Reporting To: HOD / Dean – Engineering

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct and assist in electrical engineering practical/laboratory sessions.
- Demonstrate experiments and guide students in the safe use of laboratory equipment.
- Set up and maintain electrical circuits, instruments, and laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic electrical equipment and report faults for repair.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, equipment records, and practical documentation.
- Ensure proper electrical safety, discipline, and cleanliness in the laboratory.
- Assist faculty and students in projects, workshops,



and technical activities.
- Support laboratory requirements for academic audits, NAAC/NBA, and inspections.

Qualification & Skills

- Qualification: Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Hands-on knowledge of electrical machines, circuits, measurements, and instruments.
- Positive troubleshooting and practical skills.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Good communication and student-handling abilities.
- Prior laboratory/industrial experience will be preferred.
