About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric,Power BI, Azure, and modern data engineering practices to design, develop, and implemententerprise-scale data platforms and analytics solutions.The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on engineering capabilities with solution architecture,data governance, stakeholder management, and client-facing communication skills. You will beresponsible for building scalable data pipelines, implementing Medallion Architecture (Bronze,Silver, Gold), optimizing analytics workloads, and translating business requirements into robusttechnical solutions.

Experience

● 8+ years of overall Data Engineering experience

● 3+ years of experience working with Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric

● Solid experience implementing Power BI solutions in enterprise environments

● Experience working with global/onshore-offshore delivery teams

● Proven experience in client-facing technical and architecture discussions

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Platform Development

● Design and implement scalable enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and

OneLake.

● Develop data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using Fabric Data

Factory.

● Build and optimize PySpark/Spark notebooks for large-scale data processing and business

transformations.

● Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for governed and scalable

analytics.

● Develop metadata-driven ingestion frameworks and reusable engineering components.





● Implement incremental data loading using watermarks, CDC, and change-tracking

mechanisms.

● Design and manage Fabric Lakehouses and SQL Warehouses for curated business data.

● Implement data quality validations, reconciliation processes, monitoring, and operational

controls.

● Optimize data pipelines and workloads for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Power BI & Analytics

● Design and optimize Power BI semantic models, datasets, and enterprise reporting

solutions.

● Develop scalable star-schema and dimensional data models.

● Create reusable measures, calculation groups, and enterprise reporting standards.

● Optimize Power BI solutions using Direct Lake, Import, and Composite models.

● Optimize DAX and move appropriate business transformations upstream into engineering

layers.

● Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and other governance controls.

● Support Power BI administration, deployment, performance optimization, and governance.

Architecture, Governance & Security

● Define enterprise data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.

● Establish data lineage, monitoring, observability, and governance frameworks.

● Design Dev/Test/Production deployment strategies and CI/CD processes.

● Implement security using RBAC, managed identities, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure Key

Vault.





● Support metadata management, auditability, data privacy, and access-control requirements.

● Establish best practices for platform monitoring, production support, and operational reliability.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

● Serve as a senior technical point of contact for business and client stakeholders.

● Conduct discovery workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, and solution-design

discussions.

● Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.

● Present architecture recommendations, technical approaches, project progress, and

implementation roadmaps to senior stakeholders.

● Collaborate with business users, analysts, architects, project managers, and engineering

teams.

● Work effectively across global onshore and offshore delivery environments.

● Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.

● Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, and knowledge-transfer materials.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant Microsoft certifications are preferred, including:

● Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)

● Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)

● Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)

Additional preferred experience:

● Dataverse and Dynamics 365 data integration

● Power Platform data integration

● Migration from Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, or legacy BI platforms to Microsoft

Fabric

● Enterprise data platform modernization

● Cloud data architecture and migration projects

Pay: ₹509,436.64 - ₹3,500,000.00 per year
