Job Summary

The Production Incharge oversees the complete sheet metal manufacturing lifecycle—from raw material cutting to final assembly. They manage a team of machine operators, welders, and technicians to deliver precision high-quality products on schedule while minimizing scrap and material wastage.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Planning & Execution: Execute daily and weekly shop floor production targets based on master schedules.
- Workflow Supervision: Oversee operations across CNC laser cutting, turret punching, shearing, bending (press brakes), welding, and assembly.
- Resource Optimization: Allocate operators, machinery, and raw material stock effectively to prevent bottlenecks.
- Blueprint Analysis: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, technical specifications, and process sheets.
- Quality Management: Implement strict in-process inspection and coordinate with the quality assurance team to minimize rework.
- Wastage Control: Monitor sheet metal yields, manage nesting programs, and track scrap rates to minimize material loss.
- Maintenance Coordination: Supervise routine preventive maintenance of fabrication machinery to reduce downtime.




- Team Leadership: Manage worker attendance, track shift performance metrics, and handle on-the-job training for fabrication tools.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), 5S housekeeping, and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 7+ years of hands-on production experience specifically inside a sheet metal fabrication or press shop facility.
- Technical Skills:
- Expert knowledge of sheet metal operations (shearing, punching, bending, TIG/MIG welding).
- Proficiency in reading engineering blueprints and CAD/CAM nesting layouts.
- Familiarity with measuring tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, and protractors.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding supervisory presence, robust problem-solving abilities, and excellent conflict resolution skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
