IT Service Engineer – Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations, provide timely technical support to users, and help maintain a secure and reliable IT workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, and network-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve IT incidents through remote and onsite support.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Manage user accounts, email configurations, and password resets.
- Monitor system performance and perform preventive maintenance.
- Configure and support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi networks, routers, switches, and internet connectivity.
- Install and maintain antivirus software, security patches, and system updates.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or vendors when required.
- Support backup and recovery procedures to ensure data availability.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.
- Provide end-user training and guidance on IT best practices.




- Sometimes have to visit our customer office location to check Inventory, to resolve IT related issues, Visit to vendor location for IT related products repairs and services.
- Attend warranty calls and call log with OEMS, provide proper resolution

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Active Directory.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and system maintenance.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support, service engineering, or desktop support.

We prefer Candidate living nearby or in radius Max of 10 KM’s from our Office location Mukund Nagar, Swargate, Pune or looking to relocate to neaby to office location is preferable
