HVAC Design Engineer – Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Design Engineer responsible for preparing HVAC system designs, drawings, calculations, BOQs, and technical documentation for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare HVAC system designs as per project requirements and applicable standards.
- Prepare HVAC layout drawings, ducting layouts, piping layouts, and equipment layouts.
- Perform heat load calculations and equipment selection.
- Prepare duct sizing, pipe sizing, and static pressure calculations.
- Select suitable HVAC equipment such as VRF/VRV, AHU, FCU, Chiller, Package Units, and ventilation systems.
- Prepare BOQ, BOM, technical specifications, and material requirements.
- Coordinate with Architecture, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and other MEP teams.
- Review drawings and ensure proper coordination with site requirements.
- Prepare shop drawings and coordinate with the execution/site team.
- Review consultant/client comments and make necessary revisions.
- Conduct site visits when required for design verification and coordination.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant HVAC standards,



project specifications, and safety requirements.
- Support the estimation and project teams with technical inputs.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, calculations, and project documentation.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of HVAC design and engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage.
- Knowledge of VRF/VRV, AHU, FCU, Chiller, ducting, piping, and ventilation systems.
- Good understanding of HVAC heat load calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of HVAC design standards and practices.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- HVAC/MEP certification will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in HVAC design.
- Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or large-scale building projects will be preferred.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
