Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day purchase and procurement activities.
- Procure raw materials, packaging materials, consumables and factory requirements.
- Identify and develop new vendors and maintain existing vendor relationships.
- Send enquiries to suppliers and collect quotations.
- Prepare comparative statements for price, quality, payment terms and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) after obtaining required approvals.
- Follow up with vendors for timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with Production, Store, QA, QC, R&D; and Accounts departments regarding material requirements.
- Monitor pending purchase orders and maintain delivery status.
- Coordinate with Store for stock requirements and avoid material shortages.
- Handle vendor complaints related to quality, quantity and delivery.
- Coordinate with QA/QC regarding rejected or non-conforming materials and vendor replacement.
- Maintain purchase records, quotations, POs, vendor details and related documentation.
- Maintain vendor database and price comparison records.
- Support cost-saving and alternate-vendor development activities.




- Ensure purchasing activities follow company SOPs and approval procedures.
- Prepare regular purchase/MIS reports for management.

Required Skills

- Valuable knowledge of purchase and procurement processes.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- ERP/software knowledge will be an advantage.
- Good communication and follow-up skills.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving ability.
- Good analytical and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualification

- B.Com / BBA / B.Sc. / MBA / Supply Chain / Material Management or relevant qualification.
- Candidates with experience in Nutraceutical, Pharma, Herbal, Food, FMCG or Manufacturing industries will be preferred.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement preferred.

Freshers with strong communication, Excel and negotiation skills may also be considered.

Salary

₹15,000 – ₹30,000 per month
Salary will be based on qualification, experience and interview performance.
