- Machine Maintenance
- Attend sewing machine breakdowns immediately.
Preventive Maintenance
- Follow the preventive maintenance schedule.
- Conduct routine inspection of sewing machines.
- Identify potential problems before breakdown occurs.
- Maintain machine-wise preventive maintenance records.
- Ensure machines are maintained according to manufacturer/company standards.
Machine Setting & Adjustment
- Set machines according to the required operation and fabric type.
- Adjust stitch length, thread tension, presser foot pressure and feeding mechanism.
- Ensure proper needle selection and machine settings.
- Support line supervisors/operators during machine changeover and operation changes.
- Ensure machine performance meets required quality standards.
Breakdown Management
- Attend breakdown calls from sewing lines.
- Analyze the root cause of repeated breakdowns.
- Maintain breakdown history machine-wise.
- Prioritize critical machines affecting production.
- Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams to reduce downtime.
Spare Parts Management
- Maintain required sewing machine spare parts.
- Identify and report critical spare requirements.
- Ensure proper usage and control of spare parts.
- Maintain records of replaced parts.
- Avoid unnecessary replacement of serviceable components.
3. Production Support
- Support production teams to achieve daily production targets.
- Ensure minimum machine downtime.
- Give priority to machines causing production bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with Sewing Supervisors and Production In-Charge.
- Support installation and commissioning of current sewing machines.
- Assist in machine layout changes and new line setups.
4. Quality Support
- Ensure machine settings do not create sewing defects.
- Check for problems such as:
- Uneven stitching
- Thread breakage
- Skipped stitches
- Needle breakage
- Seam puckering
- Improper stitch formation
- Fabric feeding problems
- Coordinate with Quality and Production teams to resolve machine-related quality issues.
5. Safety Responsibilities
- Follow electrical and mechanical safety procedures.
- Use appropriate PPE while carrying out maintenance.
- Ensure machines are switched off before major repair work.
- Maintain proper housekeeping around maintenance areas.
- Do not bypass machine safety guards.
- Immediately report unsafe machine conditions.
6. Daily Activities
- Attend sewing machine breakdown calls.
- Inspect machines and identify faults.
- Complete machine repairs and adjustments.
- Check lubrication and machine condition.
- Monitor repeated breakdown machines.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Update machine breakdown/repair records.
- Check availability of critical spare parts.
- Coordinate with Sewing Supervisors regarding machine requirements.
- Follow up on machines pending repair.
- Support production lines during machine changeover.
- Report major breakdowns and downtime to the Maintenance In-Charge.

- Identify mechanical and operational problems.
- Repair and restore machines within the minimum possible downtime.
- Carry out regular servicing of sewing machines.
- Check and maintain machine components such as needle bar, hook, bobbin, feed dog, presser foot, thread tension and belts.
- Replace damaged or worn-out parts.
- Ensure proper machine lubrication.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
