Job Description: Bridge Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Bridge Engineer for road construction projects, especially in hilly terrain. The candidate should have 7-8 years of experience in the execution and supervision of minor bridges, culverts, cross-drainage works, side drains, retaining structures, and related road structures.

The candidate should be capable of independently handling site work, coordinating with project teams, reading and preparing technical drawings, and ensuring quality execution as per approved drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute and supervise construction of minor bridges, culverts, drains, retaining walls, breast walls, and other road structure works.
- Lead site activities independently and guide supervisors, foremen, survey teams, and subcontractors.
- Read, interpret, and prepare drawings using AutoCAD.
- Check structural drawings, reinforcement details, levels, alignments, and quantities before execution.
- Coordinate with the highway, survey, and quality teams for smooth execution of works.
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
- Monitor shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, curing, drainage arrangements, and finishing works.
- Handle site challenges common in hilly road projects,



including difficult access, slopes, drainage flow, and monsoon-related issues.
- Prepare daily progress reports, material requirements, and basic quantity measurements.
- Coordinate with consultants/client representatives for inspections and approvals.

Required Qualification & Experience

- Experience: 7-8 years in bridge, culvert, drainage, and road structure works.
- Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering acceptable; B.Tech Civil Engineering preferred.
- Robust experience in minor bridges, culverts, drains, and related structural works.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
- Must be strong in reading, checking, and making construction drawings.
- Should be able to independently lead site execution activities.
- Experience in hill road projects will be preferred.
