Job Description
Role: Legal Compliance Monitoring Associate Manager
This Associate Manager will serve as a member of the Legal Compliance Monitoring Team, working closely with Legal Ethics and Compliance Program Leads and other functions across the organization. The role independently drives assigned monitoring activities and performs in-depth reviews and data-driven analysis to assess the effectiveness of Accenture’s global legal compliance programs, identify trends and anomalies, and detect and mitigate potential risks.
Main Challenges and Responsibilities:
- Independently driving end-to-end delivery of assigned compliance monitoring activities within the agreed scope, coordinating timelines, validating data and analysis, and proactively identifying and escalating risks or issues. Monitoring focuses on Accenture’s Ethics & Compliance programs, including Anticorruption, Anti-Money Laundering/Terrorist Financing, Competition Law, Confidentiality, Data Privacy, Data and AI, Government Compliance, and Trade Compliance.
- Performing continuous auditing, controls testing, and analytics to identify potentially non-compliant transactions, trends, anomalies, and emerging risks.
- Developing, piloting, and implementing current monitoring activities and scope expansions; translating requirements into practical monitoring approaches, procedures, and analytics; preparing audit-ready workpapers and well-supported conclusions; presenting results and methodology to stakeholders; identifying opportunities to improve monitoring, analytics, and reporting; and supporting remediation, action planning, and escalation of significant issues.
Type of Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas: Compliance Monitoring, Ethics & Compliance,
Risk Management, Internal or External Audit, Internal Controls, Investigations, Regulatory Compliance, Governance, or a related assurance function. Demonstrated experience performing analytical reviews, testing transactions or controls, identifying trends and anomalies, evaluating risks, and developing practical recommendations. Experience using data and analytics to support compliance, audit, controls, risk management, or monitoring activities is strongly preferred, including the ability to source, organize, analyze, and draw conclusions from facts, findings, and trends and clearly present the results.
Technical and Personal Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, International Relations, Law, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience in compliance, audit, controls, monitoring, investigations, or risk management may also be considered.
- Professional proficiency in English
- Proven ability to work autonomously
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Robust organizational and analytical skills
- Strong people development skills, with experience supervising small teams and supporting counselee development
- Project management skills. Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a problem-solving environment
- Strong understanding of compliance, auditing, internal controls, monitoring, risk management, and governance concepts
- Experience assessing compliance with policies, procedures, controls, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks, and formulate well-supported conclusions and practical recommendations
- Experience preparing audit-ready workpapers, documenting analyses, drafting reports or scorecard results, and clearly presenting findings and methodology to stakeholders
- Familiarity with continuous monitoring, continuous auditing, controls testing, or compliance testing methodologies
- Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis; PowerPoint; and other Microsoft 365 tools
- Experience with data visualization and analytics tools, preferably Power BI, is desirable
