GTBL is looking for a technically skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our API manufacturing facility in Vapi. The role will be responsible for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment and utilities while ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and site procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment and utilities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility-related equipment issues.
- Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Maintain and update preventive maintenance schedules, equipment history, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, EHS, and other departments for maintenance activities.
- Supervise maintenance activities during plant shutdowns, equipment installation, and commissioning.
- Identify recurring equipment problems and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure proper handling, inspection, and availability of critical spare parts.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when required.
- Support qualification, calibration, and validation activities related to equipment and utilities.
- Follow GMP, SOPs, safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Participate in root-cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain engineering documentation, maintenance logs, checklists, and related records.




- Support continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and maintenance cost reduction.

Key Equipment / Systems

Experience with some or all of the following will be advantageous:

- API manufacturing and process equipment
- Reactors and agitators
- Centrifuges and dryers
- Pumps, compressors, and vacuum systems
- HVAC and utility systems
- Chillers and cooling towers
- Boilers and steam systems
- ETP and other plant utilities
- Electrical distribution systems
- Instrumentation and control systems

Education & Experience

- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience: Approximately 2–6 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical/API/chemical manufacturing or a similar process industry.
- Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment will be preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
- Working knowledge of safety procedures and maintenance documentation.
