Description

Currently we are inviting applications for the post Jr. Textile Designer at our office cum factory situated in Hosiery Complex, Noida.

Job Description

- Research and forecast colour, design and home décor trends for upcoming seasons and assist in creating collection concepts and mood boards.
- Assist in conceptualising and developing Soft Home Furnishing products such as Decorative Cushions, Table Linen, Curtains, Throws and other home textile products.
- Develop designs using techniques such as Surface Ornamentation, Fabric Manipulation, Manual & Computer Embroidery, Printing, Appliqué and other textile techniques.
- Prepare CADs, artwork, colourways, embroidery layouts and design specifications for sampling and production.
- Work closely with the sampling, merchandising and production teams to convert design concepts into physical samples.
- Follow buyer briefs and assist in developing buyer-specific collections and product presentations.
- Coordinate and follow up on sampling to ensure that developments are completed accurately and within required timelines.
- Maintain design archives, reference materials, colour palettes and seasonal development records.




- Assist senior designers in preparing collections for buyer presentations, trade fairs and seasonal ranges.
Candidate Requirement:
- Graduate in Textile Design from NIFT, NID or another reputed design institute.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1–2 years of relevant experience in home textiles may apply.
- Strong understanding of colour, composition, patterns, fabrics, embroidery and surface design techniques.
- Ability to understand a buyer brief and translate it into commercially viable textile designs.
- Good drawing, illustration and visualisation skills with a robust eye for colour and detail.
- Proficiency in design software and knowledge of CorelDRAW or textile/CAD software would be an advantage.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Should be organised, proactive and willing to learn, with the ability to work effectively as part of a design and merchandising team.
- Ability to manage multiple developments and work within sampling deadlines.
- Candidates residing in or around Noida would be preferred. Candidates living farther away should have reliable personal transport for commuting.

Salary:

- 3.60 lakhs per annum.
- Higher salary can be considered on additional qualifications, experience and merits.
