Backend Java Developer – Spring Boot | Microservices | Banking

Job Summary

Avantao Technologies is looking for an experienced Backend Java Developer to join our team and work on a client project in the Banking & Financial Services domain.The selected candidate will be employed and paid by Avantao Technologies and will be deployed to work on the client's project for the duration of the engagement.The role involves backend development, microservices and REST API development, system and database integrations, testing support, defect resolution, Go-Live, and production stabilization.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and enhance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and develop microservices and REST APIs.
- Develop system and database integration components.
- Work with development and QA teams to support SIT and UAT.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects.
- Implement performance optimization and secure coding practices.
- Support Go-Live, production deployment, and stabilization.
- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Experience





- 3–4 years of experience in backend Java development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17.
- Solid experience with Spring Boot.
- Experience in Microservices and REST API development.
- Good knowledge of JPA/Hibernate.
- Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server.
- Experience with Kafka.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of secure coding practices.
- Experience in the Banking & Financial Services domain.
- Experience with reconciliation and payment investigation is preferred.
