Job Summary

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Associate – Equity Markets to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in equity research, financial analysis, valuation, and financial modelling, with a solid understanding of equity markets and listed companies.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed research and analysis of companies, industries, and equity markets.
- Analyse financial statements, business performance, and key financial ratios.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models.
- Perform company valuations using DCF, Comparable Companies, and other relevant valuation methodologies.
- Track market trends, company developments, industry movements, and relevant news.
- Prepare investment research reports, company notes, presentations, and financial analysis.
- Support senior team members in evaluating investment opportunities and developing investment insights.
- Monitor and analyse listed companies and their financial performance.
- Conduct industry and competitive analysis to identify key opportunities and risks.
- Present research findings and investment recommendations in a clear and structured manner.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of financial data, models, and research outputs.

Requirements

- +5 years of relevant experience in Equity Research,



Equity Markets, Investment Banking, or a closely related role.
- Strong understanding of equity markets and listed companies.
- Hands-on experience with financial modelling and valuation.
- Strong knowledge of DCF and comparable-company analysis.
- Excellent understanding of financial statements and financial ratios.
- Solid analytical and quantitative skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct independent research and present insights effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with tight deadlines.

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking, Portfolio/Investment Research, or Capital Markets will be preferred.

What We’re Looking For

We are specifically looking for candidates with hands-on equity-market exposure and strong financial analysis capabilities. Candidates with only general accounting, audit, or non-equity finance experience may not be suitable for this role.
