Role Summary

We are looking for an organized and proactive Purchase Executive with experience in Interior Design & Fit-Out projects to manage end-to-end procurement activities. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing interior materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, hardware, and related services while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and adherence to project requirements and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors for interior materials, products, and services.
- Source materials such as plywood, laminates, veneers, hardware, glass, aluminium, flooring, wallpapers, fabrics, sanitaryware, electrical items, lighting, furniture, kitchen accessories, and other interior fit-out materials.
- Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations and prepare Comparative Statements (CS) for management approval.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved project requirements, specifications, quantities, and budgets.
- Coordinate closely with Interior Designers, Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Execution Teams to understand material specifications, samples, quantities, and delivery requirements.
- Verify material specifications, brands, finishes, dimensions, and quality before placing orders.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time production, dispatch, and delivery to project sites.
- Coordinate with site teams for material receipt, quantity verification, and any issues related to shortages, damages, or quality.
- Maintain and regularly update the approved vendor and supplier database for interior materials and services.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliable supply.
- Negotiate prices, credit terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial terms with vendors.
- Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving and alternative sourcing opportunities without compromising design intent or quality.




- Coordinate procurement activities according to project schedules and material requirement timelines to avoid site delays.
- Maintain proper records of quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, delivery challans, invoices, and vendor communications.
- Assist in monitoring project-wise procurement costs against approved budgets.
- Coordinate with the Accounts and Project Teams regarding vendor invoices and payment requirements.
- Assist in site inventory and material stock management as required.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, approved specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

Key Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in procurement/purchase, preferably in Interior Design, Interior Fit-Out, Construction, or related industries.
- Good working knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, hardware, and building materials.
- Strong vendor sourcing, negotiation, quotation evaluation, and vendor management skills.
- Experience in preparing Comparative Statements, Purchase Orders, and procurement documentation.
- Good understanding of project-based procurement and site delivery coordination.
- Solid communication, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and procurement/ERP software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, urgent requirements, and tight procurement deadlines.
- Willingness to coordinate with project sites, vendors, designers, and execution teams as required.

Preferred

- Candidates with prior experience in Interior Design & Build / Interior Fit-Out companies will be preferred.
- Knowledge of Chennai-based interior material suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors will be an added advantage.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period may be preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
