Role description

Role: Lead – HR Compliance, Governance (Paytm)
Group-Wide HR Compliance Governance

- Lead and oversee the end-to-end HR compliance framework across all Paytm Group

entities, including subsidiaries and step-down entities.
- Establish a centralized compliance governance model covering all group companies,

ensuring consistency while addressing local statutory requirements.
- Own compliance strategy for Labour Codes implementation (Code on Wages, Code on

Social Security, Industrial Relations Code, OSH Code).
- Ensure enterprise-wide adherence to all applicable labor laws and statutory regulations,

including CLRA, Shops & Establishments Acts, Factories Act, EPF, ESIC, PT, Gratuity,
Bonus, Maternity Benefit, Payment of Wages, TDS, etc.

- Translate regulatory changes, judicial precedents, and government notifications into

actionable HR policies, controls, and operating procedures.
Statutory, Labour Codes & Social Security Compliance

- Own compliance for all four central Labour Codes, including interpretation, impact

assessment, and rollout across entities.




- Manage compliance related to wages definition, social security, gratuity, leave

encashment, PF, ESIC, and other advantages.
- Oversee statutory registrations, renewals, filings, returns, and maintenance of registers

across all entities and states.
- Ensure timely deposit of statutory dues (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, etc.) and closure of

challans.
- Govern statutory compliance across the employee lifecycle—onboarding, payroll, exits,

transfers, and inter-entity movements.
- Ensure compliance for contractual, outsourced, and third-party payroll staff.
