Position - Finance Executive – Product Costing

Department - Finance & Accounts

Reporting To- Finance Manager

Location - Khed Shivapur, Pune

Qualification - CMA Qualified – Mandatory

Experience - 3–7 years; Product Costing mandatory

About the Role

We are looking for a CMA Qualified Finance Professional with strong hands-on experience in Product Costing and Manufacturing Finance. The role will be responsible for product cost analysis, cost-sheet preparation, financial reporting, ERP transactions, inventory finance, budgeting, reconciliation, compliance support, and providing accurate costing inputs for management decision-making.

You will work under the guidance of a CMA Finance Manager with 25+ years of experience, providing excellent practical exposure to manufacturing finance, product costing, inventory, ERP operations, MIS, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Product Costing & Cost Analysis

- Prepare and maintain detailed product cost sheets for manufactured products.
- Calculate and analyze material, labour, process, overhead, and conversion costs.
- Analyze product-wise cost variances and identify key cost drivers.
- Support standard costing, cost estimation, and cost revision activities.
- Work closely with Production, Purchase, PPC, Stores, and Engineering teams for accurate costing inputs.
- Monitor actual vs. standard cost and support corrective actions for cost deviations.

Daily / Weekly Activities

- Record and review purchase, inventory, and finance transactions in ERP.
- Review material consumption, stock movements, GRNs, and purchase-related entries.
- Prepare and verify scrap sales invoices and related accounting entries.
- Perform bank reconciliation and review pending finance transactions.
- Monitor pending GRNs against Purchase Orders and coordinate with concerned departments.




- Maintain finance documents, costing records, and supporting documentation.

Monthly / Month-End Activities

- Prepare product-wise and monthly cost reports and MIS.
- Support month-end inventory closing and stock valuation.
- Reconcile inventory, purchase, consumption, and financial records.
- Analyze monthly cost and expense variances against budgets / standards.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in internal and statutory audits by providing required costing and financial documentation.

Budgeting, MIS & Management Support

- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, costing, and financial planning.
- Prepare management reports, cost analysis, and variance reports.
- Provide costing inputs for pricing and management decision-making.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Required Skills

- CMA Qualified – Mandatory.
- Strong hands-on experience in Product Costing – Mandatory.
- Good knowledge of Manufacturing / Plant Finance and Cost Accounting.
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, BOM, material consumption, and overhead allocation.
- Experience with ERP / Accounting Software; manufacturing ERP experience preferred.
- Robust MS Excel and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of GST, E-Way Bills, reconciliations, and statutory compliance.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.

Qualification

CMA Qualified / Cost & Management Accountant – Mandatory.

Experience

3–7 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts / Costing. Candidates with strong experience in Product Costing and Manufacturing Finance will be preferred. Hands-on experience in Product Costing is mandatory.
