We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer with 4+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with robust expertise in manual testing. The ideal candidate should have experience testing ERP applications, with hands-on experience in Odoo ERP preferred. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring application quality, identifying defects, and supporting the delivery of reliable and high-quality software solutions.

Candidates with experience in other ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, ERPNext, or similar ERP solutions are also encouraged to apply.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding business and functional requirements, preparing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality of ERP implementations, customizations, integrations, and releases.

Key Responsibilities Testing & Quality Assurance

- Analyze business and functional requirements and identify testing requirements.
- Prepare detailed test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution reports.
- Perform functional, system, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate business workflows, rules, configurations, approvals, roles, permissions, reports, and data.
- Ensure adequate test coverage for new features, enhancements, customizations, and bug fixes.
- Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not impacted by current changes.

ERP Application Testing

- Test end-to-end business processes across different ERP modules.
- Validate transactions and data flow across interconnected modules.
- Test ERP configurations, customizations, workflows, reports, and dashboards.
- Identify functional gaps and inconsistencies between requirements and system behavior.
- Support testing during ERP implementation, enhancement, and upgrade projects.

Odoo ERP – Preferred





- Experience testing Odoo ERP implementations and customizations is highly preferred.
- Exposure to Odoo modules such as Sales, CRM, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, HR, Projects, and POS is an advantage.
- Experience testing Odoo workflows, access rights, reports, integrations, and data migration will be an added advantage.

Integration & API Testing

- Test integrations between ERP and external/third-party applications.
- Perform basic REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Validate data exchange and consistency between integrated systems.
- Support testing of interfaces, APIs, web services, and other integrations.

Defect Management

- Identify, document, and track defects with clear steps to reproduce and supporting evidence.
- Manage defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar tools.
- Work closely with developers and functional consultants to analyze and resolve defects.
- Perform defect retesting and regression testing after fixes.
- Participate in defect review and prioritization discussions.

Collaboration & Reporting

- Work closely with developers, ERP functional consultants, business analysts, project managers, and customers.
- Provide regular updates on test execution, defect status, risks, and issues.
- Prepare testing and release status reports.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide QA inputs.
- Support production releases and post-release validation when required.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, testing standards, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

- 4+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.




- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Defect Life Cycle.
- Hands-on experience in:
- Functional Testing
- Integration Testing
- System Testing
- Regression Testing
- End-to-End Testing
- Smoke & Sanity Testing
- SIT & UAT
- Defect Management
- Experience in ERP application testing is preferred.
- Odoo ERP experience is an advantage, not mandatory.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or Zephyr.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Exposure to API testing and Postman is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to independently plan and execute testing activities.

ERP Experience

Candidates with experience in Odoo or any major ERP platform will be considered.

Experience with the following ERP platforms is an advantage:

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant software testing experience.
- ERP testing/implementation experience is preferred.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
