Reports To: Lab In-charge / Pathologist

Job Responsibilities

- Collect, receive, identify and properly label patient samples such as blood, urine, stool, tissue and other specimens.
- Perform routine laboratory investigations in Biochemistry, Hematology, Clinical Pathology and Histopathology as per assigned duties.
- Handle tissue processing, paraffin embedding, microtomy and H&E; staining for histopathology.
- Perform routine tests in Biochemistry and Hematology using laboratory analyzers and manual methods, as applicable.
- Perform routine urine, stool and other clinical pathology investigations.
- Prepare and maintain slides, tissue blocks and other laboratory specimens.
- Operate laboratory equipment and analyzers and perform basic maintenance as required.
- Ensure proper handling, storage and disposal of specimens and biomedical waste.
- Maintain laboratory registers, test records and other required documentation.
- Monitor reagents and consumables and inform the Lab In-charge about shortages or expiry.
- Follow laboratory SOPs, quality-control, infection-control and safety procedures.




- Ensure accuracy of test results and immediately report any abnormality, discrepancy or equipment issue to the Lab In-charge/Pathologist.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laboratory.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and laboratory reports.
- Assist in other laboratory sections and perform additional duties as assigned by the Lab In-charge.

Qualification

- DMLT / B.Sc. MLT / B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Additional training in Histopathology will be preferred.

Experience

- 1–3 years of relevant laboratory experience preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in Histopathology, Biochemistry, Hematology and Clinical Pathology will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
