JOB DESCRIPTION – ESTIMATION ENGINEER (INTERIOR)

Position: Estimation Engineer – Interior
Industry: Interior Fit-Out / Construction

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer – Interior to handle estimation, quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, costing, and tendering activities for interior fit-out projects. The candidate should have strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, joinery, and construction methods.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and rate analysis for interior projects.
- Study and interpret architectural drawings, interior drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Estimate quantities and costs for:
- Civil and finishing works
- False ceiling and partitions
- Flooring and wall finishes
- Painting and polishing
- Carpentry and joinery
- Modular furniture and woodwork
- Glass and aluminium works
- Doors and hardware
- Other interior fit-out works
- Prepare material, labour, subcontractor, and installation cost estimates.
- Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors and prepare comparative statements.
- Analyse market rates and maintain updated material and labour rate databases.
- Prepare tender documents, commercial proposals, and pricing sheets.
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, assumptions, and project risks during estimation.
- Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Project Execution, and Business Development teams.
- Conduct site visits when required to verify measurements and project requirements.
- Support value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Review project variations and provide estimation support for additional works.
- Maintain proper records of estimates, BOQs, quotations, and historical project costs.




- Ensure estimates are accurate and submitted within the required timelines.

Required Qualification

- B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Candidates with strong experience in commercial, residential, corporate, retail, hospitality, or turnkey interior projects will be preferred.

Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity surveying.
- Excellent understanding of interior materials, finishes, joinery, and fit-out works.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings.
- Good knowledge of rate analysis, costing, tendering, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of estimation / quantity take-off software is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of current material, labour, vendor, and subcontractor rates.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Ideal candidate: A Civil / Interior / Quantity Surveying professional with years of hands-on experience specifically in Interior Fit-Out Estimation, with strong exposure to BOQ, quantity take-off, costing, rate analysis, vendor quotations, tendering, and interior materials.

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
