Job Descritpion of Application Database Administrator

6 to 8 Years Relevant Experience

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Application Database Administrator (ADBA) with a strong background in Db2 on z/OS platforms. The ideal candidate will be an engineering graduate in Computer Science or a related discipline from a recognized institution and will bring over six years of experience in IT and database management.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

- Proven experience in administering Db2 databases on z/OS, with hands-on expertise using IBM Change Manager.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Db2 utilities.
- Solid background in database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Exposure to BMC DBA tools such as BMC Apptune and BMC AMI Ops is highly desirable.




- Proficient in working independently, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to effectively function within a team environment.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools like BMC Control-M is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator (IDAA) is a plus.
- Experience with ticketing and ITSM tools such as HPSM or ServiceNow (SNOW) is beneficial.
- Understanding of and experience with designing Physical Data Models (PDM) is an added advantage.
