Job Summary

The Commis II – Asian Cuisine assists the kitchen team in the preparation and cooking of Asian dishes while maintaining the required standards of quality, hygiene, presentation, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Asian cuisine as per standard recipes.
- Prepare mise en place including vegetables, meats, seafood, noodles, rice, herbs, sauces, and other ingredients.
- Assist in cooking methods such as stir-frying, steaming, grilling, boiling, deep-frying, and pan-frying.
- Prepare basic Asian sauces, dressings, marinades, and accompaniments.
- Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and consistency of dishes.
- Maintain sufficient mise en place throughout the service.
- Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
- Follow FIFO and proper food storage procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the assigned workstation.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, and kitchen safety procedures.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain proper portion control.
- Assist the Chef de Partie and other kitchen colleagues during busy operations.




- Properly clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Follow all instructions given by senior chefs.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of Asian cuisine and ingredients.
- Good knife skills and food preparation techniques.
- Basic knowledge of Asian cooking methods.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Strong focus on hygiene and cleanliness.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma / Certificate in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in an Asian kitchen preferred.
- Relevant culinary training or freshers may also be considered.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
