Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced HPDC / Die Casting Design Engineer with 6–9 years of hands-on experience in die casting component and tooling design using Siemens NX (UG NX). The candidate should have strong knowledge of high-pressure die casting processes, component design, manufacturability, and tooling requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop HPDC / die casting components using UG NX.
- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Perform die casting component design considering manufacturability, draft angles, wall thickness, parting lines, ribs, bosses, and fillets.
- Develop concepts for die casting dies, cores, slides, inserts, and related tooling components.
- Ensure designs comply with HPDC process and manufacturing requirements.
- Work on DFM/DFA activities and identify potential casting and tooling issues during the design stage.
- Understand and address common casting defects such as porosity, shrinkage, cold shuts, air entrapment, and flash.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, tooling, quality, and production teams for design feasibility and issue resolution.
- Review engineering requirements and incorporate design changes based on customer/project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain BOM, design documentation, and engineering drawings.




- Support prototype development, tooling trials, validation, and design modifications.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical solutions for complex casting-related issues.

Mandatory Skills

- 6–9 years of experience in HPDC / Die Casting Design.
- Strong hands-on experience in UG NX / Siemens NX.
- Good knowledge of HPDC component design and tooling concepts.
- Strong understanding of:
- Draft analysis
- Parting line
- Wall thickness
- Ribs and bosses
- Fillets and radii
- Undercuts
- Core and slide requirements
- Die inserts
- Casting allowances
- Experience in 3D modelling, assembly and 2D drafting using UG NX.
- Good understanding of DFM/DFA and casting manufacturability.
- Knowledge of die casting defects and their prevention/correction.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.;

Valuable to Have

- Experience in automotive die casting components.
- Exposure to die casting tooling / die design.
- Knowledge of aluminium and magnesium die casting.
- Experience with casting simulation/analysis tools.
- Exposure to tool trials, PPAP, APQP, and production support.
- Knowledge of GD&T; and tolerance stack-up.
