Job Summary

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced RISE Partner Cloud Architect (PSE) to lead SAP S/4HANA cloud transformation engagements for steel manufacturing customers in India. The role requires strong SAP implementation experience across Greenfield and Brownfield programs, deep understanding of RISE with SAP and SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition responsibilities, and hands-on knowledge of steel industry business processes. The architect will work closely with customer business teams, SAP, hyperscaler teams, and implementation partners to design scalable, secure, and future-ready SAP cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead solution architecture for RISE with SAP engagements, including SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition deployment, integration, migration, security, governance, and operational readiness.

Assess customer SAP landscapes and recommend suitable Greenfield, Brownfield, or selective transformation approaches based on business goals, technical readiness, and steel manufacturing requirements.

Define end-to-end architecture covering SAP S/4HANA core modules, SAP BTP, integrations, data migration, custom code remediation, security, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure dependencies.

Collaborate with SAP, customer IT, business process owners, hyperscaler teams, and implementation partners to clarify roles, responsibilities, delivery dependencies, and escalation paths under the RISE operating model.

Support fit-to-standard workshops, solution design discussions, technical architecture reviews, cutover planning, testing strategy, go-live readiness, and post-go-live stabilization.

Provide architectural guidance for steel industry processes such as raw material procurement, production planning, melt shop operations, rolling mill processes, quality management, plant maintenance, logistics, warehouse operations, sales, costing, and compliance reporting.

Ensure solution alignment with clean-core principles, SAP Activate methodology, industry best practices, security standards, performance expectations, and long-term maintainability.





Guide teams on Brownfield conversion activities including readiness checks, simplification item analysis, custom code assessment, data migration planning, integration impact analysis, and conversion cycle validation.

Support governance forums, architecture decision records, risk mitigation planning, stakeholder communication, and executive-level solution walkthroughs.

Key Responsibilities

Required Experience and Skills

8–10 years of SAP implementation experience, including multiple full-cycle SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC transformation programs.

Strong experience in both Greenfield implementations and Brownfield conversions to SAP S/4HANA.

Hands-on understanding of RISE with SAP, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, SAP Enterprise Cloud Services operating model, and partner/customer/SAP responsibility boundaries.

Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA modules relevant to steel manufacturing, including MM, PP, QM, PM, SD, FI/CO, EWM/WM, and integration with MES or shop-floor systems.

Experience with SAP Activate methodology, fit-to-standard workshops, solution blueprinting, realization, testing, cutover, migration, and hypercare phases.

Good understanding of SAP BTP capabilities, integration architecture, APIs, middleware, identity and access management, security, monitoring, and extensibility patterns.

Ability to assess infrastructure, sizing, performance, availability, disaster recovery, integration, and operational support requirements for cloud-based SAP landscapes.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage business users, IT leadership, SAP teams, partner delivery teams, and customer executives.

Excellent communication, documentation, problem-solving,



and decision facilitation skills.

Steel Manufacturing Domain Expertise

Understanding of end-to-end steel manufacturing value chain, including raw material sourcing, coke oven, sinter plant, blast furnace, steel melting shop, continuous casting, rolling mills, finishing, dispatch, and by-product management.

Experience supporting process design for make-to-stock, make-to-order, variant configuration, batch/heat tracking, quality inspection, yield management, scrap handling, subcontracting, and production costing.

Knowledge of plant maintenance, reliability, shutdown planning, spares management, and integration with production and procurement processes.

Familiarity with Indian statutory, tax, localization, e-invoicing, GST, logistics, and compliance requirements in SAP implementations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.

SAP S/4HANA certification, RISE with SAP certification, SAP Activate certification, or cloud certification on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.

Prior experience working with Indian steel, metals, mining, or discrete/process manufacturing customers will be an advantage.
