Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer – PDI to join our automotive manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI), quality inspection, documentation, and ensuring that products meet defined quality standards before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform PDI (Pre-Dispatch Inspection) of automotive components/products.
- Conduct final inspection as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Check product dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings and basic GD&T;.
- Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, check sheets, and quality records.
- Ensure products meet required quality standards before dispatch.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality problems.
- Assist in incoming, in-process,



and final inspection activities when required.
- Maintain proper documentation and follow established quality procedures.
- Support continuous improvement and reduction of rejection/rework.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Inspection.
- Good understanding of PDI / Final Inspection.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Drawings and GD&T;.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Basic knowledge of 7 QC Tools will be an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable communication and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and quality-focused approach.

Eligibility

- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0–1 year of experience in Quality / PDI / Automotive Manufacturing.
- Freshers with relevant internship or academic project experience are welcome.
- Candidates with exposure to automotive components and PDI inspection will be preferred.
