Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible, well-organized and patient-oriented Panchakarma Therapist to assist in the smooth execution of Panchakarma and other Ayurvedic procedures. In addition to performing therapies under the supervision and instructions of the Ayurvedic physician, the therapist will be responsible for pre- and post-procedure preparation, medicine filling, treatment-room readiness, basic clinic management and maintaining hygiene and inventory standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Panchakarma & Ayurvedic Procedures
- Perform assigned Panchakarma and Ayurvedic therapies as per physician's prescription and clinic protocols.
- Prepare the patient and explain the basic procedure and precautions.
- Maintain proper patient comfort, privacy, safety and dignity throughout the procedure.
- Observe the patient during procedures and promptly report any discomfort, adverse symptoms or unusual findings to the physician.
- Follow correct procedure-wise hygiene and infection-control practices.
2. Pre-Procedure Preparation
- Prepare the therapy room, treatment table, equipment, medicines, oils, herbs and other required materials before each procedure.
- Ensure all necessary items are available according to the day's treatment schedule.
- Prepare oils, decoctions and other materials as instructed.
- Assist in patient positioning, draping and other procedure-related preparations.
- Check cleanliness and readiness of all equipment before use.
3. Post-Procedure Duties
- Assist patients with post-procedure care and instructions as directed by the physician.
- Clean, disinfect and reset the treatment area after every procedure.
- Properly store oils, medicines, instruments and reusable equipment.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain hygiene standards.
- Ensure the room is fully prepared for the next patient.
4. Medicine Filling & Dispensing Support
- Fill prescribed medicines into appropriate containers according to the physician's prescription.
- Label medicines accurately with patient name, medicine name, dose, frequency and instructions as applicable.
- Cross-check medicine name and quantity before handing over to the patient.
- Maintain medicine-filling and dispensing records as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medicine storage area.
- Report low stock, damaged products or discrepancies to the concerned supervisor.
Note: Medicine dispensing/filling must be performed strictly according to the clinic's authorized workflow and physician's prescription; the therapist should not independently prescribe, modify or substitute medicines.
5. Generalized Clinic Management
- Assist in maintaining smooth day-to-day functioning of the clinic.
- Prepare treatment schedules and ensure rooms are ready according to patient appointments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy rooms, reception/support areas and equipment.
- Assist with patient flow and coordination between patients, therapists and doctors.
- Maintain basic treatment, stock, cleaning and procedure-related records.
- Monitor availability of consumables and inform the supervisor before stock runs out.
- Assist with basic administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
6. Hygiene, Safety & Qualified Standards
- Maintain strict personal hygiene and professional appearance.
- Follow clinic SOPs for sanitation, infection control and patient safety.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Handle clinic equipment, medicines and therapeutic materials responsibly.
- Maintain a respectful, compassionate and professional approach toward every patient.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Certificate in Panchakarma Therapy, Ayurveda Therapy or a relevant healthcare/therapy field preferred.
- Practical knowledge of common Ayurvedic therapies and Panchakarma procedures.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of medicine names, dosage instructions and labeling preferred.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a clinical team.
- Prior experience in an Ayurvedic hospital/clinic/Panchakarma centre will be an advantage.

Reporting
Reports to: Ayurvedic Physician / Panchakarma In-charge / Clinic Manager

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
