Role Summary

The L2 System & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the core IT infrastructure and Google Cloud environments at Client Environment. This role acts as the technical lead on-site, handling escalations from L1, maintaining server/storage/network health, managing cloud workloads (GCP), enforcing cybersecurity policies, and supporting AI/Gemini platform integrations.

Key Responsibilities

· Cloud Infrastructure & GCP Management:

o Administer and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM policies, VPC networks).

o Oversee Google Workspace enterprise settings, security policies, and advanced Google Gemini AI feature rollouts. Monitor cloud consumption, assist with FinOps cost optimization, and generate resource usage reports.

· System Administration & Network Security:

o Manage Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory / Cloud Identity, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).

o Configure and maintain perimeter security, including Firewalls (e.g., Fortinet/Sophos), Switches, and Wi-Fi Controllers.

o Manage endpoint security (EDR/Antivirus), patch management systems, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules.

· Backup, DR & Business Continuity:

o Implement and monitor daily backup schedules (cloud and on-premise) and test restore procedures.





o Assist in disaster recovery planning and ensure adherence to security compliance frameworks.

· L2 Escalation & Project Execution:

o Serve as the senior escalation point for unresolved L1 technical issues.

o Coordinate with third-party OEMs/vendors (Airtel/Tata Leased Lines, Hardware vendors, Google Support).

o Lead minor infrastructure upgrades, network expansions, and cloud migration projects.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

· Education: B. Tech / BE / MCA / B. Sc (IT) in Computer Science or related field.

· Experience: 3–5 years in System Administration, Cloud Infrastructure, and Network Management.

· Core Skills:

o Hands-on administration of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Workspace.

o Working knowledge of deployment and management of Google Gemini / Generative AI integrations.

o In-depth expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and VLAN configuration.

o Strong knowledge of Enterprise Firewalls, Managed Switches, and EDR/XDR platforms.

o Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automated task administration.

· Certifications (Must Have / Preferred):

o Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Google Cloud Digital Leader (Preferred).

o CCNA / Fortinet NSE 4 / Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA).
