Key Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, and maintain 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for engine components and assemblies using CREO.
- Develop and maintain product specifications, engineering drawings, and design documentation in compliance with GD&T; standards.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of engineering models and drawings before release.
- Manage CAD data and product structures within Windchill PLM systems.
- Process Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and support Product Change Management activities.
- Perform drawing updates, design revisions, and configuration management activities as per project requirements.
- Adhere to company engineering processes, industry standards, and applicable national/international design standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, service, and product engineering teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Participate in design reviews and Drawing Quality Reviews to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Support root cause analysis and technical investigations related to product and design issues.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering standards, best practices, and design guidelines.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned engineering work requests and documentation deliverables.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Product Engineering, Design Engineering, Engine Support, or Technical Troubleshooting.
- Experience working with engine components, powertrain systems, or industrial products is preferred.
- Exposure to engineering change management and product lifecycle management processes.
- Proficiency in PTC CREO (latest version) for 3D modelling and 2D drawing creation.
- Hands-on experience with Windchill PLM and Product Change Management processes.
- Solid knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and engineering drawing standards.
- Ability to create, review, and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerancing, materials, and design fundamentals.
- Knowledge of engine systems and component functionality will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in cross-functional and global teams.
- High attention to detail and commitment to engineering quality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project timelines.
