About the Role
Raptor Supplies is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Executive to join our Finance & Accounts team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting and finance operations, maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, assisting with reporting, and coordinating with internal and international stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, good analytical skills, proficiency in MS Excel, and preferably experience working with ERP/accounting software. Exposure to UK/US accounting, international transactions, or e-commerce finance operations will be an added advantage.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinance & Accounting Operations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and financial records.
- Record and verify financial transactions, invoices, receipts, payments, and other accounting entries.
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
- Process and verify vendor invoices and ensure proper supporting documentation.
- Monitor customer payments, outstanding balances, refunds, and related transactions.
- Perform regular bank, customer, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
- Assist in maintaining the General Ledger and supporting month-end book closure activities.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare periodic finance and management reports as required.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Maintain finance-related MIS and trackers.
- Analyse financial data and identify discrepancies, trends, or unusual transactions.
- Support the Finance Manager/Team Lead in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
International Accounting
- Support accounting activities related to international customers and suppliers.
- Assist with transactions involving UK, US, and other international markets.
- Maintain records related to foreign currency transactions and international payments.
- Coordinate with international teams regarding invoices, payments, reconciliations, and financial queries.
- Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Assist in GST, TDS, audit, and other statutory compliance-related activities.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documents and information.
- Follow company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
Coordination & Process Improvement
- Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, Order Processing, Logistics, and other departments for finance-related matters.
- Respond to finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in improving accounting processes, reporting systems, and financial controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency,
and automation within finance operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software.
- Knowledge of Xero, Sage, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to UK/US accounting or international finance processes will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in an e-commerce, B2B, MRO, trading, or international business environment.
- Knowledge of foreign currency transactions.
- Basic understanding of UK/US accounting practices.
- Experience handling large volumes of financial transactions.
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis.
